1Prepare the T-shirt
With the T-shirt on, prepare the front area before picking up your baby so that you can place them inside while keeping them supported at all times.
The Quokkababy Babywearing T-Shirt is designed to carry your newborn from day one, offering the closeness and snug fit of a wrap, but in a much easier and more intuitive way.
Its key difference is on the inside: a patented internal technical support that helps distribute your baby’s weight across your body and prevents the fabric from stretching under your baby’s weight.
Benefits
Keep your newborn close, whether for skin-to-skin contact or throughout your everyday routine.
The closeness and snug fit of a wrap, in a T-shirt that is much easier to put on.
Keep your newborn close, whether for skin-to-skin contact or throughout your everyday routine.
The closeness and snug fit of a wrap, in a T-shirt that is much easier to put on.
Helps distribute your baby’s weight across your body for comfortable carrying and helps prevent the fabric from stretching under their weight.
Put it on like a T-shirt, place your baby inside and, while keeping them supported, shape the seat correctly and adjust the bands around their body.
There is no need to pre-tie an entire wrap or memorise a sequence of steps.
1With the T-shirt on, prepare the front area before picking up your baby so that you can place them inside while keeping them supported at all times.
2Hold your baby against your body and gently guide them inside the central band without letting go of their support.
3Settle your baby against your chest and spread the fabric so that their body is supported and held close to you.
4Gently tilt your baby’s pelvis towards your body and arrange the fabric to support their thighs and encourage the M position.
5Tighten the bands gradually and position them around your baby’s body to achieve a secure, snug fit.
6Bring the bands around towards your back, finish the adjustment and check that your baby is positioned high and close to you, with their face visible.
Your newborn’s favourite place is you.
In those first few days, you simply want to keep your baby very close without feeling as though you are wearing a bulky baby carrier. Quokkababy wraps around your bodies with fabric, without rigid waistbands or bulky structures, helping skin-to-skin contact remain close, intimate and natural.
And when everyday life begins, you can continue using it over a thin layer of clothing as an alternative to a stretchy wrap during your baby’s first months.
Skin-to-skin contact is not only for premature babies. For full-term newborns, it also helps maintain body temperature and supports bonding and the start of breastfeeding.

On the outside, Quokkababy retains the simplicity of a T-shirt. The technical element is integrated inside: it features a patented support panel in the back area that helps distribute your baby’s weight across your body.
This support also helps prevent the fabric from stretching under your baby’s weight, providing support exactly where it is needed without turning the T-shirt into a rigid or bulky baby carrier.
It is a difference that is barely noticeable at first glance, but it forms part of Quokkababy’s specific design for babywearing.

Your baby’s body is still developing, so the baby carrier should respect their natural posture rather than forcing them to adapt to the carrier.

The ergonomic position keeps the hips flexed and open, with the knees higher than the bottom. This posture supports healthy hip development and helps prevent hip dysplasia.

A newborn’s back naturally maintains a C-shaped curve. The fabric should follow and support this shape without forcing the baby into an upright position.

The Quokkababy Babywearing T-Shirt has been tested in accordance with CEN/TR 16512:2015 up to 9 kg.
Its design was developed in collaboration with a midwife, a paediatrician and a physiotherapist specialising in pelvic floor health.
Quokkababy is also used with premature babies in several neonatal units to facilitate skin-to-skin contact and kangaroo care.

Before carrying your baby in your arms, Quokkababy can also support you during pregnancy.
By crossing and adjusting the bands around your back and underneath your bump, the T-shirt provides wraparound support that helps you maintain a more comfortable, upright posture.

And after your baby is born, that same T-shirt becomes your baby carrier from day one.
